The Jets have agreed in principle for Robert Saleh to become their head coach.
Saleh joins the AFC East basement club after four years as the defensive coordinator with the San Francisco 49ers. He replaces Adam Gase, who took charge of two losing seasons with the Jets. Saleh, an American of Lebanese descent, is the first Muslim to take a head coaching position in the NFL.
Great hire by the NY Jets!
Robert Saleh is the anti-Gase. Look at that energy #Jets pic.twitter.com/1s24rhmCSt
